IBS coat optical element ::::: Low loss ultra-high reflection laser mirror
Achieves R>99.998% with IBS coating.
Manufacturer: OPTOMAN (Lithuania) Why use standard electron beam evaporated mirrors when you can obtain IBS mirrors with a reflectivity of >99.95% at almost the same price? Cost-effective IBS-coated dielectric mirrors perform well in all laser applications where losses at specific wavelengths and angles of incidence are critical. Compared to other coatings such as electron beam or ion-assisted deposition, IBS-coated mirrors are denser, more robust, and exhibit lower scattering and absorption. To prevent thermal absorption effects, they are coated on high-purity fused silica substrates. OPTOMAN's IBS-coated mirrors can achieve specifications of maximum reflectivity >99.998% and total losses (absorption, scattering, transmission) <15ppm at specific wavelengths and angles of incidence. They are coated on high-purity quartz glass (flat, spherical, or wedge-shaped) and polished to a roughness of <2Å (0.2nm). The dense coating, close to bulk density, shows very little performance degradation due to environmental factors such as temperature and humidity. Complex coatings with very high reflectivity can achieve R>99.95% for GTI laser mirrors and Tp/Ts >10000:1 for thin-film polarizers.
